Mexico has been the top destination for tourists who want to enjoy its Caribbean vibe, sun-soaked beach, and exotic food.

According to the data provided by the Secretary for Tourism, over twelve million Americans spent their holiday in Mexico during last year.

The strong dollar has led to a common belief that the country of tequila is an affordable destination for Americans. According to the perception of tourists, visiting Cabo is now more similar to visiting Los Angeles.

A recent analysis by TripAdvisor has revealed that Los Cabos or Cabo will be the most expensive destination of Mexico in 2024.

According to travel platform Hopper, if you plan to visit this peninsula, be ready to spend between $425 and $550 per day (without airfare), or more.

According to the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), the cost of air travel from Mexico has increased by 32,33% between 2023 and now.

Other tourist services have seen a significant increase, including hotels (6,19%), tours (7,74%), dining (7,45%) and road tolls (7,74%).

Cabo’s world-class resorts and restaurants, as well as its high-end spas and golf courses are what have always attracted Americans to the coast. We’ll look at how you can reduce your costs when planning to go to Cabo.

Cabo Travel Costs

Living in Cabo and traveling to Cabo are two different things. Statistics on local costs of living are not always helpful in planning a budget.

on average, you can still find reasonable flights for $447. It’s a bit harder to find hotels that cost less than $475 a night.

Cabo Getaway Costs: How to Cut Back

The Mexican peso is strengthening due to various political and economic reasons. This means that our dollars are losing value.

The local currency has appreciated by around 20 percent against the American Dollar. Planning your budget is more important than ever.

As hotel rooms and airfares are two of the most popular tourist categories, you should always book at least two months before your flight.

Choose summer travel over winter. It’s cheaper and warmer.

Booking all-inclusive resorts can help you save on food and entertainment.

Vacation rentals, such as Airbnb, can be more convenient and cost-effective than hotels or luxury resorts.

Mexico’s authorities claim that despite the high travel costs, it is still an affordable destination for travelers from abroad.
