Miami is one of the most safe cities in the United States. It has a low crime rate in tourist areas.

You can have a safe visit by making smart choices on where to go in the city, and using basic street-smarts while exploring.

Miami is expected to welcome over 26 million visitors in 2023.

Miami Beach adopts new security measures to avoid chaos during Spring Break

Officials have stated that the city will increase security measures in preparation for the upcoming spring break. This includes curfews and bag checks as well as expensive parking fines and DUI checkpoints.

Beach access is restricted at night and loud music is prohibited.

Christopher Bess is an officer at the Miami Beach Police Department. He said, “This weekend our residents and guests saw an enhanced staffing of Miami Beach Police officers.”

Miami Beach Police will be joined by 18 other agencies.

Florida’s State troops deploy in major Spring Break Cities (including Miami) on March 5. Miami)

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced the deployment of 140 state troopers for crowd control during Spring Break, emphasizing zero tolerance policy towards lawlessness.

These troopers are expected to support 17 agencies in the state. They will focus on popular destinations such as Miami Beach, Daytona Beach and Panama City. DeSantis stressed the importance of maintaining law and order, and warned of harsh consequences for misconduct. Miami Beach’s Mayor, Steven Meiner emphasized the ongoing efforts to enforce the law and order after spring break.
