The popularity of the beach resort destination is further enhanced by the record number of domestic and international tourists who flock to Los Cabos during ‘Spring Break,’ and the Easter season.
The average hotel rate in March was $564. Luxury Hotels like Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos, Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos, Costa Palmas and Solaz, A Luxury Collection Resort, were among the few luxury hotels that skewed average rates.
The Los Cabos Hotel Association reported that the average occupancy rate in March was 83%, with peaks near 90%. occupancy in March was broken down as follows by region: Cabo San Luis (83%), Corridor (86%), and San Jose del Cabo (78%)
Saul Gonzalez Nunez, general secretary of Baja California Sur’s government, deployed more security in the region due to the increase of crimes during the holiday season. To protect both tourists and locals during this busy holiday period, 140 members of the National Guard were deployed.
The efforts of the security institutions at the three levels government showed that travelers had renewed faith in the hospitality and safety of the region. Visitors’ resurgence also highlighted the region’s economic recovery, and that it is one of Mexico’s most attractive tourist destinations.
The ideal beach destination continues to attract crowds with its vibrant nightlife, turquoise sea, bright sun and fresh breezes.
It is similar to a TripAdvisor analysis that found Los Cabos as the most expensive destination of Mexico by 2024.
Flights start at an average of $447. This is still a reasonable price. It’s a bit harder to find hotels that cost less than $475 a night.
