Immerse Yourself in Quintana Roo’s Carnival – Where Grandeur Meets Spectacle

Posted on By No Comments on Immerse Yourself in Quintana Roo’s Carnival – Where Grandeur Meets Spectacle

Carnival transforms the relaxing beach communities of Cancun and Cozumel into an exhilarating experience for both tourists and locals. Carnival is a colorful, fun, and musical celebration with latin flavor. It includes parades, music performances, and carnival rides.

A catamaran trip and snorkeling at the colorful El Meco Reef on Isla Mujeres is a great first activity after your flight. You will have time at leisure to explore Mayan vestiges, and take in the beauty of the island.

Cancun streets were filled with a colorful, musical parade in the evening. Participants wore bright, extravagant costumes. To add to the fun of the event, many participants throw colorful beaded necklaces and hair bands to the crowd. The best performances are found in an open-air arena after the festival has started. Participants from the Youth Dance Category, children in native costumes performing authentically. Also included are performances by Sexual Diversity Kings and Disability Kings.

Enjoy live entertainment on your ferry trip from Playa del Carmen, Mexico to Cozumel. Arrive at the lovely harbor area, lined with shops and cafes. The Hotel Melia Cozumel, an all-inclusive hotel, is the only one in the world to be located on a beach with white sand. The staff is very knowledgeable and can suggest activities like snorkeling, ceviche-making class, Punta Sur Park Tour, or a visit to Pueblo del Maiz.
