Wildfires, which were exacerbated this week by the strong winds of Hurricane Dora, , have caused extensive damages to parts of Hawaii’s Big Island and Maui.

Travelers can help by donating, and informing their friends and family about how to do it. Travel to a popular tourist destination is strongly discouraged at the moment as authorities and rescue workers are working to help those who are on the ground.

Aina Momona is a nonprofit organization that offers people the chance to get involved. , a group that supports disaster relief in Maui, has organized a fundraising event. Aina Momona also mentioned other ways to assist victims.

You can also donate to several charities via Pledge. These include the American Red Cross Food Bank in Maui, and the Hawaii Community Foundation.

GoFundMe developed a unified platform to aggregate all certified fundraisers in support of the Maui wildfires. This hub will be continuously updated by the Trust & Safety team at the company as new fundraisers are confirmed.

These iconic destinations are in urgent need of assistance. They are renowned for unsurpassed natural beauty, their culture and the welcoming nature of their people.
