Hawaiian Airlines plans on providing more comfortable travel from Salt Lake City to Hawaii’s picturesque islands with the launch of a new flight next year.
Hawaiian Airlines plans to inaugurate their inaugural nonstop route between Salt Lake City and Honolulu on May 15, 2024 according to Travel + Leisure. Daily service will utilize an Airbus A321neo equipped with 189 seats on this new service route.
Hawaiian Airlines President and CEO Peter Ingram was confident this new route would excite both Utahans and Hawaiians given its tourism, education ties and shared Pacific Island communities. His statement: “We look forward to strengthening these ties when our service begins next summer.”
Hawaiian Airlines plans to operate this new route via 16 separate gateway cities located throughout continental United States.
Every night at 6:50, a new flight will depart Honolulu for Salt Lake City, arriving there by 5:15 in the morning and then taking off again from Salt Lake City at 7 a.m. and landing back home again by 9:55 in Hawaii.
Hawaiian Airlines will expand the flights it operates out of Sacramento as part of their recently established Utah route. On May 24th, Sacramento will launch four weekly flights to Lihu’e on Kauai while on May 25th three new weekly flights will open up between there and Kona.
Hawaiian Airlines was chosen as the top domestic carrier by Travel + Leisure readers in 2023 due to its exemplary reliability, friendly service staff and top-of-the-line catering. Each Airbus A321neo features 16 recliner seats in addition to 45 “Extra Comfort” premium economy seats and 128 economy seats – giving passengers plenty of legroom!
Passengers on board also enjoy complimentary island-inspired meals such as lomi tomato and coconut cake with Kalua chicken quesadillas.
Airlines is now making plans to equip its A321neo aircraft with high-speed Starlink internet, which will be provided at no cost once available in early months of 2024.
